Mega Awareness Camp and Weavers Orientation Program Location: Village Boond, Basohli, Kathua District Date: 15-06-2024 The Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom Jammu hosted a successful Mega Awareness Camp and Weavers Orientation Program today at Village Bhoond, Basohli, in Kathua district. The event was led by Mr. Suraj Prakash Rukwal, Director Handicrafts and Handloom, and witnessed an impressive turnout The primary objective of the event was to generate awareness among new weavers about the various schemes and benefits offered by the Department. Through informative sessions, the weavers were educated on how they can avail these opportunities for their personal and professional growth. During the program, the Director, H&H, distributed charkhas to deserving weavers in the region. This initiative underscores the Department’s commitment to providing essential tools and resources to support the weavers’ craft. Accompanying Mr. Rukwal were other key officials, including the Joint Director Handloom and AD Handloom & Handicrafts, Kathua, all of whom played a vital role in making the event a success.
